Wow. The synergy here is off the charts. Amazing. It just occurred to me as I was listening how much of the sentiment of your song runs parallel with John Lennon's "Instant Karma". You are addressing the individuals that need encouragement, and John is addressing the perpetrators of last November's calamity.

Mesmirising! Reeled in by the 3/4 feel, can't help but leave orbit. The vocalization is stellar, the spacing of back-up and harmony is nicely done. This has a gentle heroic anthem feel, anyone who knows will understand.

Gorgeous, heartwarming, such a perfect holiday single... Listening makes me feel the warmth of your energies and my eyes watery.

"Shine Again " by Snowflake

Used in:
The Light Comes In (feat. Zenboy1955)

For this special season when the sky is dark and full of stars, I'm trying to follow the rhythms of nature and rest, celebrate, and fortify -- despite the fear and pain that rises without warning. As Martin Luther King Jr said, "Only when it is dark enough can you see the stars.”

This song incorporates two quotes. One from Victor Hugo: “What makes night within us may leave stars.” And one from Rumi "The wound is the place where the light enters.”

Special thanks to JJ for such incredible instrumental stems and for wise mix notes.

Shine Again
by Madam Snowflake

History and suffering leave their share of scars

But what makes night within us
Creates stars
Yea, we’re made of stars

The wound is where the light comes in
Your wound is where the light comes in
Pain is there when life begins
You’ll shine again
You’ll shine again
My friend

Fear of near looming darkness
Rising up fast like a flood
Trepidation becomes a companion
A purposeful pulse in your blood
Your heart beats with blood
And that’s how you love

The wound is where the light comes in
Your wound is where the light comes in
Pain is there when life begins
You’ll shine again
You’ll shine again
My friend

Our obsidian sky
Is a blackboard lesson in time
Seeming minuscule light
Years ago, up close
Burned as wild, cosmic fire
Yea, you are alive
By wild, cosmic fire

The wound is where the light comes in
Your wound is where the light comes in
Pain is there when life begins
You’ll shine again
You’ll shine again
My friend

Your wounds and your scars
Birth a season of stars
Your wounds and your scars
Birth a season of stars
You’ll shine again, my friend
