First the good news: I like this a lot The bad news: I inadvertently deleted the separated Lyric contribution from the lyric library ... would you be so kind as to re-upload it?

And done. I think I had botched the link the first time, that might have been causing problems. Should work now...

what an inspiration, your powerful lyrics and your expressive singing voice. these are some deep questions that i'm contemplating while listening with my morning coffee. "But Love will surely vanish without someone dear to hold it, our own no more eternal than the mortal human heart." My fav line!

"A Human Thing" by Mr_Yesterday

A sonnet, of sorts, in Dm. Look out for the ritard at the end: from 144 down to 96 BPM. I may also upload the lyrics separately, though I admit to wrestling with the upload mechanism for that category. Here they are included as I usually do:

Could Beauty still exist when there’s no eye left to behold it?
Some things we reckoned beautiful will surely carry through…
perhaps no longer new…
they don’t need me or you.

Will Truth still stand when humankind withdraws our opposition?
Its blade of pure obsidian must cleave the world in two:
this false, that true,
and--in between--so few.

But Love will surely vanish without someone dear to hold it,
our own no more eternal than the mortal human heart.
What joy the faith of those whose Lord embodies love forever!
My own, I fear, can only last until, in death, we part.

What is it to be human?
Only love…and, maybe, art.
