One evening in the the Wyndham Hotel Richard asked me to be his best man as Carol had finally agreed to marry him. I knew it would happen one day. My best friend would leave me to set up home with the love of his life and I would be left to continue my quest to find the girl of my dreams. So I set off alone to find the perfect partner and in doing so I managed to get married twice and divorced twice! Richard said I should stop searching and just accept the fact that I would never find the perfect partner and I should be happy with the cards life had dealt me. He was right of course and with the years against me I finally realised that my days of searching were over. So though I never found that special one I will always be grateful to all the ladies who offered me comfort as I wandered down lovers lane.
