Description

The Eagle Has Landed

I see an eagle with a white head and turquoise blue body. I write three words on a white square piece of notepad paper WHITE CARDINAL BLUE. Each word appears tiered on top of the other like the lines of a horizontal flag. I bring the paper to a woman at a desk as she is helping people identify rare birds. As I wrote the words, she was already shaking her head. "No, no, no" she says as I hand her the paper. "That bird doesn't exist," she says. When I woke up I pulled a dream tarot card for the dream and got Ten of Pentacles which shows a woman standing in a forest of plants growing tall above and around her. It reads - Honor the endowment of your roots, stay within the rules and boundaries of tradition, put roots down that will last generations. The eagle and the colors I wrote make me think of the symbols of America. But perhaps the original idea of America doesn't exist anymore. Maybe it is time for me to fly to another country to feel connected. Lots of foreign flags have those colors.
