Description

I was about halfway into writing this rap to Apoxode's killer Tough Guy Shuffle upload when I saw Ben's workshop challenge to add vocals to those same stems, so Ben gave me the motivation to not give up (thanks Ben!!)! I had a lot of challenges with this track that I started several weeks ago -- first just writing the rap, then recording it (hubby gave LOTS of notes), then arranging and recording the track choruses and bridge, and finally balancing the mix.

A special thanks to John Jones for playing additional bass, giving great mix notes and doing a rough master. Also, a warm thank you to Kara for suggesting a backwards cymbal in the big transition! And of course, thank you Apoxode for amazing stems :)
