Ok, setting aside the "swing" part of this song, let's talk about an underlying influence a lot of your stuff contains: PALINDROMES.
The bassline: Palindrome. The bpm ("96"): a numerical palindrome when rotated. Your Mixter handle icon used to be a rotating palindrome. Pythagoras once theorized about the "music of the spheres".
