Description

My mind's eye sees flight, flow, release, light -- perhaps balloons or butterflies, pronking gazelles or whales.

Belugaten's sweeping Meadow Strings sets the scene for this uplifting bit of music, while Apoxode's low fi beats create an alt/indie tone. Is that tension or balance between the sway of the bass and the syncopation of the glockenspiel bells? Kara's voice grounds the choir, exhalting. I played bass and added some vocals.

I've been working with this little ditty for a while now and know it could still use improvements in tone and balance. Production tips are welcome!

I really enjoyed this remix! Not just because I'm in it, lol :)
Your vocals and bass really help to solidify the track, which is a wonderful epilogue btw.
The back and forth with the bells and the bass work well, they both dance along to the beat :)
Level wise, some sorting in the lower mids with the synth and your voice could help bridge the distance between the bells and bass -- there do seem to be some differences in dynamics (also might be caused by the beat).
I'm inclined to balance the strings' eq before adjusting the vocals, though, so it's not too bright to just to clash with them again. The lower-mids on the bells sometimes seem higher than necessary, could just be a velocity issue that requires some stem editing.
I'm rambling though, I'd rather get all the stems in my DAW and adjust them as they play. Hope that helps (?) Apoxode Reply 2023-11-04 20:04:58
Delightfully uplifting. I could totally see this as a video intro or outro. It would also be wonderful for a short form vid. Thanks so much for the include! Kara Square Reply 2023-11-14 06:55:14
A lovely uplifting, yet relaxed track. The choice of rhythm works well with my orchestral stem (& thanks for using it!). This would be ideal as a music bed for radio or podcasts. Beluga Ten Reply 2024-03-05 07:34:58
