Description

**I'd love to submit this track into Workshop. 1) Requesting Kara clean the vox with her special software; 2) Overall mix balance and mastering tips from anyone willing...!

I voice texted this dream into the notes on my phone before I'd fully come into consciousness. Today I revisited the note and felt the pain that was living down inside my shadow. Writing this song, with thanks to my dream, I acknowledge my ache and it feels just a little lighter.

Special thanks to Kara for a beautiful guitar part that made this process flow.

Heartrending montage of tragedy, the tokens you chose easily imagined, I was instantly in that space.

I did a preliminary analysis and noticed some occasional frequency resonance around 275 hz( +/-30) in your vocals.
When I did a full parametric it kind of helped -- I think it might gel with the guitar's frequency more.

I've recently been developing an editing technique where I find parts of a recording that look higher than average and softly level them (as opposed to a compression process). It takes about a minute for each part depending on the area's size, so from what I quickly scanned, it would take about 50 minutes or so to kind of soften the peaks. If you're interested, I could give it a run and see what you think.

Amazing. Your words and delivery are heart-rending. Your mix feels so live... in such a beautiful way. And something I find personally amazing is how very different your sung melody is from my original. I love that. Thank you so much for putting my guitar part to such great use.

Regarding your workshop request... Cool! Do you happen to have the dry pell without the spaces between lyrics removed (or a clip of at least 5 seconds of the room sound)? When I can have the background room noise isolated by itself, it's easier to remove it from the vocal.

For vocal cleanup/repair, I charge $45/hour. It will likely take between 1/2 hour and 1 hour to complete. Does that sound reasonable?

Most touching. It sounds as if you found some cathartic relief. All I can offer is my compassion and sympathy.

A beautiful piece. Great feels match between guitar and vocals. Heartache so well conveyed.
